The PR Interns gain insight into the publicity process while interning at CNN NY. They strengthen their research and publicity skills while contributing to the network’s media relations and occasionally participating in staff and other planning meetings. Interns may have the opportunity to accompany publicists on PR shoots, interviews, etc. Interns learn how to compile media contact lists, search for press clips, craft and implement pitches, and support publicists in day-to-day publicity efforts, both proactively and reactively.
